Twitter embed not always working, and if they do, they have wrong top padding
Created by: numeroteca
There are two issues with tweets embeding:
- sometimes it will not trigger whatever needs to be triggered and just the URL will be displayed. Example: https://globalrec.org/2022/03/11/recycling-without-waste-pickers-is-garbage-2022-global-waste-picker-day/
- when it works, padding is too big and there is a huge gap at the top of the tweet. I had to manually add this to the CSS in the theme (customize > add CSS), and wrap the tweet url in
<div class="twitter"></div>
.
.twitter .iframe-container {
padding-top: 0%;
}
Let's see what is causing the problem (jetpack? a combination of CSS overlap?) and see if we need to embed tweets with iframe or we can keep copy pasting the URL of the tweet.
